Rethink Leadership. Rebuild Learning.

Who We Are

Founded by a former principal, Managing Director of Instruction, and K–12 teacher, The Guild, LLC was created to connect the adaptive talents that already exist within schools and districts. We believe that the most powerful solutions in education come from educators themselves—when the right people are brought together with the right structures for learning, reflection, and action.

The Guild is owned and operated by a team of former teachers, principals, and principal supervisors who understand the complexity of leading teaching and learning from multiple vantage points. Throughout their years in education, they have built deep professional relationships with instructional improvement specialists who dedicate their “Guild Time” to passion projects—opportunities to collaborate as a collective force to support schools and districts.

At The Guild, we believe schools best serve all students when leaders have the resources, guidance, and space to cultivate intentional environments for continuous adult learning. Our work is designed to surface the cognitive dissonance necessary to transform mindsets, strengthen leadership practice, and improve teaching and learning outcomes.

60%

26%

Only 26% of employees say they understand their organization's strategy, limiting their ability to align daily actions to broader goals.

-Harvard Business Review, 2024 analysis

Across organizations, the challenge isn’t a lack of effort. It’s a lack of shared understanding and execution.  As teams strive for better results, they often return to three critical questions:

  • What exactly are we trying to improve, and why?
  • How do we know if our current strategies are actually working?
  • What shifts in practice will lead to the outcomes we want?

Coherence is the missing link. It’s what enables strategy to translate into action across teams. Most school-based teams don’t need another initiative. They need structured support to:

  • Norm on a shared problem of practice so everyone is working toward the same goal
  • Unpack the context. Including student experience, instructional gaps, and systemic barriers

OUR CONSULTING PHILOSOPHY

The Guild, LLC has a network of content and subject matter specialists who have worked on a wide range of projects: instruction, curriculum building, attendance management, restorative practices, instructional planning, high-school placement, and SEL/counseling services.  Sustainable improvement does not happen through isolated initiatives or one-time plans. It requires intentional cycles of learning, reflection, and action. At The Guild, our work is grounded in three core principles that help teams move beyond the status quo and toward meaningful change. Through a 3R partner launch process, we work to co-create improvement plans with specific goals and targets, and match organizational leaders and teams with Guild specialists.

The 3Rs; Reveal Reflect Revise™ arc represents our process:

  • Reveal: Audit, review, and collect information about the current context to define and co-create the primary function of our partnership.
  • Reflect: Design learning experiences leveraging current data to cultivate reflection about the ideal state.
  • Revise: Create a high-leverage action plan reflective of new or revised goals and priorities.

Principle #1: Reveal

Understand the current reality before attempting to change it.

Meaningful improvement begins with a clear picture of the present context. This includes examining data, instructional practices, leadership structures, and the experiences of students and educators.

For many teams, this step can be difficult because it requires slowing down, asking hard questions, and confronting misalignment between intention and practice. Without an objective lens, teams may overlook patterns, normalize challenges, or feel constrained by internal dynamics.

Through partnership, we help leaders conduct thoughtful audits and gather the information needed to surface both strengths and opportunities for growth.

Principle #2: Reflect

LCreate the space for honest learning and sense-making.

Once the current reality is revealed, teams must pause to reflect on what the information means. Reflection allows leaders to examine assumptions, explore root causes, and imagine what the ideal state could look like for their school community.

This step is often challenging because schools operate at a fast pace. Leaders rarely have the time or structured facilitation needed to move from information to insight. Without intentional reflection, teams may jump quickly to solutions without fully understanding the problem.

Our work helps create intentional learning experiences that allow teams to analyze data, challenge assumptions, and develop a shared understanding of what meaningful improvement requires.

Principal #3: Revise

Turn new understanding into focused action.

Reflection alone does not create change. The final step is revising systems, priorities, and practices so that new learning translates into concrete action.

For many teams, this stage can be the most difficult. Even when leaders agree on the need for change, translating insight into clear priorities, aligned strategies, and sustainable systems requires coordination and discipline.

We support teams in developing high-leverage action plans that align goals, roles, and resources so that improvement efforts lead to measurable impact.

Together, Reveal, Reflect, and Revise™ drive results.

Goal-driven behaviors emerge from the learning experiences we design, the practice sessions we facilitate, and the conversations we help leaders cultivate. Our work is not about isolated strategies—it is about shifting the ecosystem of how teams learn, think, and act together.

Through this process, we help build the capacity and competency leaders need to move from insight to implementation. The result is stronger alignment, clearer action, and leadership teams equipped to sustain meaningful change.

Ultimately, this work is about creating the conditions for continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
